I was feeling really good about my body and proud that I got my mile time under 10 minutes so this happened. I wish I had different before pictures to use but I don’t, unfortunately. Anyways, I have a pouch of excess skin and fat on my stomach, as you can see, but it’s finally getting smaller. Other than that, I’m pretty satisfied with how far I have come, but I feel like I still have a long way to go. Abs, I’m coming for you.

Here’s the thing, though: you have to keep it off.
Most people who take off weight put it back on within months or a couple years. I think that’s usually because the changes they make to lose the initial weight are simply not realistic to keep as life changes you will always stick with.
No one wants to live life without ever eating bread again, most people are simply not going to work out two/three hours a day for the rest of their lives.
People who lose weight *should* feel proud and that they have accomplished something because they have accomplished a lot. But the real trick, the real effort comes in making that transformation, that change permanent. THAT’S what is really, really difficult.

Well, I’ve kept it off for a year and I’m working on losing more - and I got my personal training certification so believe me, this is a lifelong thing.
Also this picture is going around again. Sweet.

Yeah, I guess it’s difficult to keep off the weight when you do crash diets, Slim Fast, boring exercise programs, etc. When you have the mentality “I’m going to diet for six months and then go back to my shitty lifestyle of inhaling everything in sight.”
All you have to do is make the lifestyle change necessary to be healthy and strong. Basically what your body is begging you to do anyway. You can still eat anything, do anything you want. Just balance it with good food and exercise. It’s not difficult.
ALSO SOME PEOPLE CAN’T FUCKING EAT BREAD AND ARE MORE THAN HAPPY TO NEVER TOUCH THAT SHIT EVER AGAIN. Either way, my weight doesn’t depend on it. I could eat all the (gluten free) bread I want and not gain weight BECAUSE I UNDERSTAND “MODERATION.”
Finally, don’t discredit Natasha. She is amazing and inspiring and don’t you dare pretend she’s just going to gain that weight back because you’re insecure and jealous.
I am SO TIRED of people pretending it’s not possible to lose weight and maintain a healthy lifestyle. If you can’t, you’re doing it wrong.
